Rescue in theory and practice in demand

Rescue in theory and practice in demand

Always organized alternately by district associations of different towns, the rescue swimming competition for young people of the water rescue district association of upper and middle franconia is now organized by the district water rescue association of kulmbach. In three different age groups (8-10, 11-13 and 14-16), six participants per team compete in various disciplines.

This is how the young people will be treated on the weekend of the 30. And 31. Marz is first tested for its theoretical knowledge: in the rooms of the carl-von-linde-realschule, the teams go through first-aid stations where they have to treat made-up mimics as quickly as possible – from a simple cut to a scooter accident, there can be anything there.

First the theory, then the practice

So there is a lot of knowledge to prove before the practical part on sunday morning: from ball transport relays to rescue swimming disciplines, in which the participants have to demonstrate their skills fully clothed, the level of difficulty of the disciplines is adapted to the respective age group.

Whining was not

Whining was not

The weather was almost a little too kind to tsv nudlingen this weekend. At temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees, the club with ex-professional stefan muller and his wife ulrike kicked off the 4. Fubball camp at the wurmerich. The kids between five and 14 years do not love to be impressed by the heat. They occasionally stuck their heads in a bucket of water or ran through the lawn sprinkler that had been set up. In addition, there were many additional breaks, during which the hard-working helpers around cake chef isabell back kept drinking bottles ready and chopped lots of apples and melons. Lunch for the 67 children and their six TSV coaches was prepared by armin bott.

"In the foreground is the spab", explains youth leader andre iff, who was responsible for the organization of the camps. The idea for the fubball camp came about after about 20 children from nudlingen had taken part in the camp in burgwallbach every year. "Parents asked me if it couldn't be done locally", says iff. And the demand is rough. For many boys – and a few girls, too – the camp is the high point of the year. They are present every year.

No tournament competition
Word has spread about the good youth work of TSV nudlingen. About 50 percent of the participants are foreign, brought from burkardroth, wollbach, eltingshausen or garitz three days in a row. Often they are participants of the TSV indoor football tournament in winter. The rakoczy weekend is a good time for a camp, says iff. Then there are no soccer tournaments in the area at the same time, and the parents can leave their child at soccer while they relax.

Berlin airport: head of engineering amann must vacate post

berlin airport: head of engineering amann must vacate post

After months of leadership dispute at berlin’s new capital airport, head of engineering horst amann loses his executive position. This was announced by berlin’s mayor klaus wowereit (SPD) on wednesday evening. He spoke of a decision "by mutual agreement". At the same time, wowereit announced that no start date would be set this year for the airport, the opening of which had already been postponed several times. "We will only set a time when it is really clear that things are on track so that nothing can really go wrong anymore."

The chairman of the grunen faction in the bundestag, anton hofreiter, sharply criticized the dismissal and demanded consequences. "The conditions at BER have reached a level that you can hardly imagine", said hofreiter "handelsblatt online". The incumbent federal minister of transport, peter ramsauer (CSU), must "finally take responsibility and not continue to act as if he had nothing to do with all this.

At the same time, hofreiter called for wowereit’s withdrawal from the BER supervisory board. "Wowereit should leave the supervisory board completely instead of continuing to solve the problems", said the grunen faction leader.
Four opening dates have already been cancelled due to planning errors and construction problems. The airport was supposed to start operations two years ago, but observers no longer expect it to start before 2015. "We still see many obstacles, said wowereit. However, solutions have been found to the problems in essential areas, such as the complex fire protection system.

Burgerbadverein wants to keep fighting

"This is our last chance!" Wolfgang blumlein called out to the members of the munnerstadter burgerbadverein, who had come to the ordinary members’ meeting at the hotel tilman. He was referring to the new citizens’ petition for the renovation of the indoor swimming pool, which has been closed since 2010 and whose final demolition was decided by the majority of the city council three years ago. The members’ discussion was further fueled by the recent news that the city council factions of the CSU and neue wege want to have a council referendum in addition to the citizens’ referendum to ask the citizens whether the indoor swimming pool should be demolished.

In the citizens’ petition of the burgerbadverein, on the other hand, they are asked whether they are in favor of the renovation of the baths. According to wolfgang blumlein, 1009 signatures have now been collected for the citizens’ petition. Some lists are still on the way and will be delivered later. About 650 valid signatures are needed, he said. On monday, 22. July the city council decides whether the citizens’ petition is valid.

"I assume that the citizens’ petition will go through. Who carries then the indoor swimming pool?" Wolfram graeber wanted to know. Currently, there is an extreme shortage of trained lifeguards "the city could not get anyone, even if they wanted to", replied wolfgang blumlein. Already therefore honorary helpers are necessary, which presses the personnel costs enormously.

Coburg: Junior Chamber expects 250 participants at state conference

Hard-working helpers are still packing the last welcome bags. On friday they are already in the hands of the 250 or so participants. It is one of the last rough preparatory actions before one of the high points in the history of the coburg business juniors finally begins.

Looking back, the past two weeks in particular have been exhausting. "We all work a 40-hour week and do it on a voluntary basis", says conference leader cindy schaschek. During the preparation, highs and lows alternated. Now the preparations with the last detailed planning are about to be finalized. Schaschek and district spokeswoman inga hertling are therefore all the more pleased that this time is over and the event is finally about to take place. "We are proud to host the conference in coburg", the ladies agree.

Schaschek, hertling and 30 helpers are expecting around 250 participants for a three-day delegates’ conference starting on friday. This is the second state conference to be held in coburg after 1995. At the same time, the coburg business juniors celebrate their 45th anniversary with a gala evening.
