The electoral office of the city of forchheim hereby announces that the electoral register for the european elections for the large district town of forchheim will be open to the public from monday, 6. May, until friday, 10. May (20. Until 16. Day before the election), during general opening hours at the election office of the city of forchheim (einwohnermeldeamt), sattlertorstrabe 5, for inspection by eligible voters.
Eligible voters can check the accuracy or completeness of their personal data entered in the electoral register. Eligible voters can only verify the accuracy or completeness of the data of other persons entered in the electoral register if facts are substantiated which may indicate that the electoral register is inaccurate or incomplete. The right of verification does not apply to the data of eligible voters for whom a blocking notice has been entered in the civil register in accordance with the federal registration law.
The electoral register is kept automatically; it can be inspected through a data viewing device.
Who can vote?
Only those who are registered in the electoral roll or have a ballot can vote. Anyone who considers the electoral register to be inaccurate or incomplete may, during the period from monday, 6., until no later than friday, 10. May, 12 noon, file an objection with the election office.
Notification until 5. May
Eligible voters who are entered in the electoral roll will receive a copy of their ballot no later than 5 p.M. May a notification of election together with a form for an application for a ballot paper. Anyone who has not received a notice of election but believes they are eligible to vote must file an objection to the electoral roll if they do not want to run the risk of not being able to exercise their right to vote.
